For some series the annotation will cover the entire spectrum of the work and only briefly, if at all, address the content of individual titles. This is done especially in cases where all the novels should be read in order of publication so as to understand the full story that the author is trying to portray. |

Category Romance Love between the main protagonists is the most important element of the story. Such novels will usually be found in the romance section of bookstores or libraries. |

Dracula Pertains to either Stoker's mythical Dracula or the historical warlord Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler). |

History The historical setting is an essential part of the plot. |

Humor The comic aspect is important to the story. |

Mystery A mystery is central or important to the plot. The vampire may in these cases be either the detective or the perpetrator of the crime to be solved. |
